Mountain Productions set up a SAM-550 mobile stage with scaffold add-on wings along with additional support structures at Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA for pop music star Ellie Goulding. The Steel Stacks at Bethlehem stand tall behind the main stage and provide a breathtaking view that is unique to the venue. For the past several years, Mountain Productions has built a Hercules Grid System in front of the Steel Stacks for the annual Musikfest (read our 2015 recap here).
The SAM-550 mobile stage is our largest mobile unit, and with the addition of custom scaffold wings, the SAM-550 stands like a full main stage system. However, there are limitations with the standard rigging capacity of the roof. To accommodate the larger production requirements that couldn’t be hung from the SAM-550, we built custom scaffold wings and an upstage windwall. The scaffold wings were 20’ wide, 40’ tall, and 38’ deep and supported full line arrays. An upstage wind wall held a video screen and additional lighting elements beyond what could be hung from the SAM-550 roof. All elements combined, the mobile stage gave the appearance of a much larger system and provided enough strength to support all of the artist’s production.
Mountain Productions provided the Clearspan Front of House structure with a 22’ tall spot tower behind it. The Clearspan FOH is excellent for its weather protection and visibility, utilizing heavy duty side walls and roof skins.
