[EVENT RECAP] Counting Crows at Hard Rock Stadium, Dolphins Cancer Challenge

The Mountain team was proud to have been involved in the 2017 Dolphins Cancer Challenge this past weekend in Miami, FL. The annual DCC hosts a handful of events, including a variety of cycling routes and races, a 5k run/walk, golf tournament, and interactive exhibits for family fun. The goal of the DCC is to fight cancer and raise money for the financial support of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami. [EVENT RECAP] Ford’s Toughest Tailgate Challenge at Super Bowl Live, Houston, TX

The Super Bowl is more than just one of the biggest sporting events of the year. The NFL creates an entire experience for diehard fans each season leading up to the Big Game, and this year Houston hosted a nine-day massive fan festival with live music, interactive exhibits, and a ton of games for adults and children alike with the NFL Experience. Mountain Productions proudly provided the structure for Ford’s exhibit at Super Bowl Live which involved suspending two Ford Super Duty F250 trucks that represented an enormous goalpost.

This past year has been full of change and memorable moments throughout the world. One of our proudest moments in 2016 was when we took home the 2016 Parnelli Award for Staging Company of the Year thanks to the entire Mountain Productions team, who worked harder than ever this past year.

Mountain Productions provided staging and event production services to five major New Year’s Eve shows, including Pitbull’s New Year Revolution in Miami and the iconic Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in Times Square. We are proud that our world-class systems were on display to millions of viewers on major networks across the world.

[EVENT RECAP] NBA Opening Night in Cleveland, OH – SL-320 Mobile Stage

Mountain Productions kicked off the opening night of the NBA season in Cleveland, Ohio by providing staging for the “NBA on TNT Road Show” outside of the Cavalier’s Quicken Loans Arena. The event was the launch of Turner Sports’ interactive road show sponsored by American Express and featured TNT’s Inside the NBA studio team providing pre-game, halftime, and post-game coverage on-site along with a musical performance by Grammy-nominated rapper, Wiz Khalifa. Interactive experiences setup for fans completed this event including TNT Personality Themed Events, the On-Court Hoops Experience, “Singer Slam” Studio, and much more.

With more than 400 of the world’s top manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of professional products and services for the production and live entertainment industry on display, Mountain Productions, the leading staging and rigging company across North America, was in attendance to catch up with old colleagues and demonstrate to our new friends the many ways we can help make their production a success.

[EVENT RECAP] 500+ Shows at Musikfest 2016

Most festivals can’t boast a 900,000 attendance with over 500 shows taking place for 10 days. The Pennsylvania based Musikfest has these numbers under its belt, and the festival hosted by Artsquest continues to grow each year. Located in Bethlehem, roughly an hour and a half away from Mountain Productions’ premises, Musikfest takes place by the iconic Steel Stacks of Bethlehem, and has multiple stages hosting local and nationally recognized musical talent. In addition to great music, Musikfest hosts a variety of food vendors, art, and fun activities for the whole family. Musikfest offers both free and ticketed shows, which attracts huge crowds every day of the festival. This year, Mountain Productions’ main stage at Musikfest hosted Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Antebellum, and The Avett Brothers, while our side stages saw hundreds of acts take the spotlight each day and night.

This quote from WayHome’s website captures a feeling that many of us can relate to, and the WayHome Music & Arts festival is all about stepping away from the screen and finding inspiration in music, art, and film. The three-day festival takes place at Burls Creek in Oro-Medonte, Ontario and 2016 marked its second annual event. WayHome hosts a variety of musical genres, including indie, folk, electronic and more. Fans flocked to Burls Creek to see headliners LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, and The Killers along with over 60 additional acts on three different stages throughout the festival grounds.

It’s become one of Canada’s premiere electronic dance festivals over the past 4 years, and the fifth year of VELD Music Festival continued the trend by hosting over 30 internationally acclaimed EDM artists that pumped the music all through Downsview Park in Toronto. VELD Music Festival puts a lot of resources into quality production, and each stage has an impressive display of video and lighting effects. Mountain Productions provided the strength needed to support the enormous production rigs at VELD and built an MTN Truss HD+ System and an MTN Truss HD System.
