Entertainment production demands long hours and hard work to get the job done. That’s why our crew is always prepared before any fieldwork with thorough, frequent, and certifiable training. The most important aspect of our careers is the constant understanding and practice of safety in everything that we do. You may be asking, ‘how does a company with a robust team working all across North America and that completes hundreds of projects every year maintain such a commitment to safety?'

Weather Monitoring, Wind Plans, Professionally Stamped Drawings

Mountain Productions’ has an efficient and diverse engineering department that custom-designs every structure that we build. Led by a professional engineer, our team has kept safety at the forefront of every concept, and writes technical and detailed safety plans for every system. Each stage is equipped with a wind monitor that is tracked by the leading weather service provider, WeatherOps. This means that every stage that we build, and the surrounding environment, are constantly monitored. Awareness is raised, reaction time is reduced, and our event sites always stay safe. Our supervisors are a phone call away from the most accurate weather data available in real-time, which allows them to make the right decisions at the right time.

Dedicated, Professional Maintenance on Every Piece of Equipment

We treat all of our equipment with extreme care and service and maintain all of our systems (and their components) upon their arrival back from a job. This is made possible by the wide range of professional workshops at Mountain Productions’ campus, including Welding, Mechanic, Carpentry, Paint, and Electric Shop, all supported by a comprehensive Tool Department. Each shop carefully inspects and services each piece of equipment, no matter how big or how small. Our close inspection process allows us to continually provide the highest quality systems in the industry.

CM Hoist School and Rigging Safety

Along with our staging department, Mountain Productions’ rigging sector teaches safe practices and handling of equipment to the entire staff. Hoist maintenance requires a level of skill and precision. The only way to hone these skills is through practice, training and repetition. Our technicians follow a quality assurance and safety protocol for every maintenance session and have the experience of thousands of serviced motors behind them.

Mountain Productions’ Annual CM Hoist School is one of the premiere hoist maintenance and rigging trainings in the industry. Each year, we welcome over 50 students from all over the globe to this five-day training event. Our seminars are taught by experts from the most renowned brands in entertainment technology. The CM Hoist School event is very important to us and we celebrate education and safety awareness each year.
