As Thanksgiving festivities begin to wrap up, Christmas season quickly rolls in. One of the most celebrated Christmas traditions is the Annual National Christmas Tree Lighting at Washington DC. The ceremony is a unifying event that both local and national communities share to celebrate the holiday season. The event has a rich history dating back to 1923 and President Calvin Coolidge. Since then, the event has changed locations several times and has evolved into a larger production.
Mountain Productions worked with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to set up structural technical support for the “NBC Host Position”. The parade took place on Broadway / 34th Street in NYC. This is Mountain’s third year in a row helping out at this iconic event.
Specifically, Mountain Productions provided a 60′ x 13′ Aluminum Truss Lighting Support Grid and a 49′ x 20′ Camera / VIP / Host Platform. The structure was constructed to allow pedestrians to walk underneath the platform without obstruction.
Mountain Productions is grateful to be nominated for Pollstar’s 2012 Concert Industry Award for Staging / Equipment Company of the Year. The Concert Industry Awards honor artists, management, talent buyers, venues, support services and more. The award is a prestigious honor, and nominees are selected by a variety of international music business professionals. We would like to thank Pollstar and all of our customers and clients for nominating us.
Voting is conducted entirely online, and an email ballot was sent out to all Pollstar subscribers on November 9th. We would like to encourage all those who are eligible to vote and contribute to this ceremony.

Mountain Productions recently returned from setting up staging at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Orlando, Florida. Mountain has been thankful to be a part of the EDC event for the past several years. The Electric Daisy Carnival is a dance/techno music festival held in Orlando and Las Vegas. The festival offers a unique 360 degree experience and high energy performances from renowned electro music artists.
Mountain provided 3 mobile autostages (SL-250, SL-320, & SAM 550), tower roofing and scaffold towers for the event.
Mountain Productions was proud to be a part of the Democracy Plaza event at Rockefeller Center in New York. The event was created by NBC News and it featured various interactive exhibits, including a map of the United States on the iconic Rockefeller Center icing rink that adapted to the presidential race results.
