It keeps our new employees educated on the best practices in workplace safety, as well as refreshes this knowledge for our longterm employees. Our Safety School took place on February 9<sup>th<\/sup> &amp; 10<sup>th<\/sup>, led by our safety &amp; logistics officer, Joseph Piskunowicz.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3192\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/dayone-companies.jpg\" alt=\"dayone-companies\" width=\"800\" height=\"176\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/dayone-companies.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/dayone-companies-300x66.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/dayone-companies-768x169.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Day one of our 2016 training consisted of\u00a0classes aimed at our road crew and supervisors. All of our employees who travel to jobs are trained in the <strong>Weather Ops<\/strong> platform and protocol. Weather Ops has provided our weather monitoring capabilities for our outdoor job sites for the past 3 years, and we continue to work with them on optimizing, updating, and modifying their platform for the unique needs of entertainment production. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Weather Ops\u2019 representative <strong>Caleb Midgley<\/strong> lead the class where our crew was introduced to the newest updates to the Weather Ops mobile app and radar, along with how to read and anticipate incoming weather.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3194\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/safetyschool2016-pics-liftall.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3194\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3194\" class=\"wp-image-3194 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/safetyschool2016-pics-liftall.jpg\" alt=\"safetyschool2016-pics-liftall\" width=\"800\" height=\"543\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/safetyschool2016-pics-liftall.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/safetyschool2016-pics-liftall-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/safetyschool2016-pics-liftall-768x521.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3194\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">LiftAll&#8217;s Chris Shaffer<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Chris Schaffer<\/strong> from <strong>LiftAll<\/strong> presented a seminar covering rigging basics &amp; safety and educated our workers on proper inspection of goods. Following LiftAll\u2019s seminar, <strong>Friedman Electric<\/strong> certified our employees in first aid, and<strong> Penske Truck Rental<\/strong> presented a driver safety and roadside inspection course. Matt Smith from <strong>Capital Safety<\/strong> presented the last seminar of the day and demoed a variety of <a href=\"https:\/\/shopmtn.com\/collections\/fall-protection-safety\" target=\"_blank\">fall protection equipment<\/a> from DBI-SALA.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3193\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/daytwo-companies.jpg\" alt=\"daytwo-companies\" width=\"800\" height=\"176\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/daytwo-companies.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/daytwo-companies-300x66.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/daytwo-companies-768x169.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Day two of our safety training was hosted by <strong>Friedman Electric<\/strong>, and kicked off with Lock Out Tag Out certification by <strong>Ideal<\/strong>. <strong>Louisville Ladder<\/strong> trained our crew on ladder safety, and <strong>3M<\/strong> presented a class on proper PPE and respirator usage, cleaning, and inspection. Employees learned about hand protection from <strong>Showa<\/strong>, who also brought samples of their extensive glove line to demo. Our employees certified to operate powered industrial vehicles reviewed forklift inspection, and <strong>Jack Dimmick of Friedman Electric<\/strong> closed out Day 2 with a class on electrical and arc flash safety.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/safetyclass.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3195\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3195\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/safetyclass.jpg\" alt=\"safetyclass\" width=\"800\" height=\"543\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/safetyclass.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/safetyclass-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mountainproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/safetyclass-768x521.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Practice makes perfect, and when it comes to workplace and job safety, there\u2019s no room for error.
